Root Help: can not flash rom

I need some help I downloaded warm twopointtwo 3.5 and tried to flash it to my phone several times with no luck. I wiped the phone, and both cashe wipe. I get an error message saying: Wrong digest
System/app.HTC.musicwidget.apk.
Can someone please help this is my first Rom flash

Can you be more specific and give us some info?

DId you use unrevoked to root and are you S-OFF?
AMOLED or SLCD screen?
What HBOOT are you on?
Are you using ROM mngr or Recovery to flash and if the latter then what version of recovery?

in addition to above, what download did you use? theres one for clockwork 2.5.x.x and one for clockwork 3.x.

assuming the answer to "what recovery are you using?" is clockwork, what version?

i wasn unable to flash warm with RA_GNM,so if thats what youre using that may well be your prollem. i forget the specific error messages i got when i tried to flash it.

ultimately,i used the 3.x download and clockwork 3.0.0.8 to get it to work.

I did use unrevoked with S-off
I believe it a SLCD I recieved it in Oct-Nov
I am using Quick Tool to flash because volume down and recovery would give me a black screen.
As far as version of recovery I do not no

You mean 2.5.1.2 there is no version numbered 3.5.1.2. You'll have to go into your Rom Manager app and update your recovery to 3.0.0.8. Scroll to the bottom where is says "All ClockworkMod Recoveries" and choose 3.0.0.8. Also make sure you go into the "settings" menu while in ROM Manager and select "erase old recoveries" before you flash the latest

You should be able to flash Warm 2.2 afterwards

I'm pretty sure HBOOT .92 is also required not positive though....which are you on .92 or .77? It tells you when you boot into your white screen by holding volume down and pressing and holding power at the same time

this is what i do i hope it helps
step 1. download the desired rom on your computer to your desktop.
step 2. connect your phone via usb and select " disk drive or mount sd card"
step 3. move or copy the rom (still zipped) to the root of the sd card ( make sure it is the card and not the pone)
step 4. remove the phone ( eject the device)
step 5. power down phone
step 6. reboot the phone (volume down and power) let it do it's thing
step 7. scroll to backup and restore and select backup. put the phone down after it starts.
step 8. select factory reset
step 9. scroll to advanced and select clear delvik and select it.
step 10. push the power button till you get back to the main screen of CWR.
step 11. select the apply zip from sd card option/ choose zip option
step 12 scroll to the zipped rom and select it and then select apply
step 13. put the phone down and walk away.
step 14 when rom finishes select reboot phone.
step 15. put the phone down and walk away. it might take some time to start and you will think something went wrong just let it do it's thing.
step 16. jump for joy when you see the splash screen
done

Ok ill try that but do i need s-off to flash the warm twopointtwo? Cause i believe i dont have s-off. I think before i move forward with a rom i am gonna unroot and then reroot just to make short everything is straight. Because the first day i rooted i was not able to create a nandroid backup. Or wipe. Had to use rom manager. And from talking to others they say i should not have to do that. Is this true.
On a positive note i thank u scott, kidhudi, and jbdan for the help.

no,you dont need to be s-off to flash roms. but,IMO,its a good idea to be. if you power off, then power back on while holding the volume down button, youll get to the white bootloader screen. take note of the bootloader version, radio, and wether you are s-off or s-on.

what method did you use to root? if you used the most current unrevoked, you should have ended up in an s-off state :)

it is true that you should not have to use rom manager to make backup and flash roms. as a matter of fact i would recomend against it. its much safer,IMO to flash roms in recovery than it is with rom manager.

if you are in fact s-on,im not sure what the best way to to get s-off would be. seems you can use unrevoked, but im not sure exactly how to do this. unrooting and then re-rooting with unrevoked would be an option, but im sure unrooting to reroot not the easiest or fastest way. ;)
