Nexus One 4G ready?

Huh....well that kind of blows. So a firmware update wouldn't support it? I honestly have no clue.

Nope. 4G (WiMax or LTE) requires specific chipsets designed for those technologies. No software update will make it possible. Besides... by the time 4G is widely available, there will be newer cooler devices that will have us all pulling out our wallets again.

WiMAX is has been commercially available nationally and internationally.

Except WiMAX will be the future of CDMA today as LTE is the future of UMTS/HSDPA today a.k.a Couple carriers insisting to not follow the standard of the world (GSM) just for the sake of being different and rolling out CDMA :rolleyes:

When the big red Verizon and the whole UMTS bandwagon jumpship to LTE, WiMax will be fairly marginalized
