Help Dang, this phone is FAST - But the Google News/Weather 'genie' .apk isn't working

I love this phone; dunno about battery life yet, but we'll see.

Anyways, I picked up the Google News and Weather widget .apk; it's fantastic, as it constantly updates news in a small, unobtrusive window, and it's so easy to add what you want to read about (Android, movies, sci-fi, you name it).

BUT the app just force-closes whenever I try to open it. Does anyone else have any recommendations for something like this? Maybe a news reader/feed, whatever, that is as good or at least as simple to setup?

Yeah, does anyone have a working version of the Google News and wether widget apk? Also does anyone have the gingerbread keyboard?

Installed last night and got the FC before it even loaded.

GenieWidget.apk from the Droid X works, or at least it did on my initial try.

The widget also seems to work with both ADW Launcher and Sense.

I was surprised that this widget isn't on the bolt... I used the same one from post#13 and it works fine.

I wonder why this one is not included....

I uninstalled the first version, and rebooted my phone.

Now, it DOES work when I install from the link that was posted here.
