How To Fully Hard Reset For Warrenty

Hey guys,
i have rooted, used xrecovery for a freex10 rom, flashed for multitouch.
Now im getting a problem where i cant charge my phone. what can i do to FULLY restore my phone so i can send it in to rogers for repair.

well i was going to suggest connecting it to computer and running sony's update service

problem being, that probably won't work as the USB connection is probably at fault

the downside is that is the ONLY method i know of

I think Im going to use PC companion to do a hard reset. SEUS wont load. I downloaded it but when I try to launch it on my laptop it says error and program must close. ahhhh

but pc companion seems to have a repair button. that should do it too right?
I was trying to update my x10 for multi touch but it said i was up to date.

so i think i need to reformat it all and start fresh.. will I lose my 2.1 and go back to 1.6???

oh and what about that xda flashtool? someone gave me a link for it

NAH, you'll go back to 2.1but the latest firware version of it, as for flashtool, not my area, got rid of all my rooting about 3 weeks ago

simply so i could get used to vanilla SE UI ready for getting the ARC or PLAY next weekend

ya i think im done with the root stuff. I dont see a use for it for me except for gettig rid of mediascape and timescape, moxier mail etc.

whats the other great reason for rooting other than what I just said?? lol

JIT and xRecovery are nice reasons too. Custom ROMs are nice too (especially for Flash) but aren't as necessary (though after using a 2.2 custom ROM, I can't really see me going back to SE 2.1 any time soon).

True, though I prefer xRecovery backups. The combo of the two is quite nice when switching between ROMs though.

is 2.2 out yet? or atleast for Rogers customers in canada??

You should as that is the most recent update available through SEUS/PC Companion for Rogers. Though if you do a repair it might just reinstall the last firmware to which you updated but then you would be able to run an update check and get the DT firmware that way.
