Hi all,
First off I'm not new to the rooting scene, I had my original Droid rooted with BuglessBeast v.5/6 I believe was the last time I updated, with it OC'd to 1.2GHZ 400 MHZ at lowest with the o3 kernel...I've since upgraded to the Droid x...and here's my problem..

I successfully rooted visa the z4 method, so I'm good there...what my problem is, I want to get it ROM' d and is there any kernels that allows for higher than stock overclocks??

Also for the Rome I'm looking for something as stable as buglessbeast, what is the most recommended rom for the Droid x???

You will need to get DroidX bootstrapper from the market to make your backups and to install your new roms. You can also get DroidX overclocker by Jrummy in the market to overclock very easily. They are both paid apps but are well worth it. For your first Rom I would suggest either Apex 1.4.1 or Liberty 1.5.

No kernals for the X as of right now, your OG Droid had an unlocked bootloader to allow that kind of modification, where as with the DX those modifications are made impossible by a locked bootloader.

Bummer for now but a major break through was made yesterday in regards to unlocking the DX, nothing is official yet to my knowledge, but it looks pretty promising.

UPDATE:
Just wanted to update everyone on what i ended up going with:
I chose to go with Liberty 1.5, and i must say, i am thoroughly impressed...it is VERY fast, my battery time improved by about 20-30% longer...

I found Liberty extremely easy to use and now am at 1.35GHz at the LV settings via DRoidX Overclocker.

You might want to start researching the new Gingerbread leak. It is very nice and you can download it already rooted and deodexed. All the new ROMs will probably be based on this version. It is much faster than the .340 version you are on rigth now. Enjoy Libery for now but I bet when the new GummyJar for Gingerbread hits you are going to want it.
