"Must have" apps for the Thunderbolt

i thought antivirus and malware protection was a waste on these phone?

I don't think so I install tons .akp files I get of the internet and dont 100% know if there legit or not. So in my case it would be better to a malware protection. Speaking of .akp know of sites out there that have good android content Ill start by sharing one of mine pspiso-mobile section.

What Document editor is everyone using? Documents to Go are sending me emails reminding me to buy their software for $14.99 before it goes up to $30.00 on the 24th. Any Pro's or Con's to any of the popular ones?

Edit: As for my favorite apps?

1) Remote Desktop by Xtra Logic $ Best Remote Desktop app on the market
2) Slacker Radio $

I haven't had a chance to use it a lot, but the Quick Office app that comes on the phone is suppose to be very good. I know that it can read and edit Excel files, which is something the older Quick Office couldn't do. Sounds like a pretty good option.

what's the best task manager for droid phones.. i tried using advance task manager and everything I use it and it shows every meaningless app running. Im trying to save as much battery as possible .

That's what I use as well. It really doesn't matter which one you use IMO. Having a task manager is nice to have when you want to kill specific background apps.

DO NOT...I repeat...DO NOT allow your task manager to automatically kill apps. This is a mistake and anyone who knows how android operates would agree.

Killing all apps automatically will slow down your multitasking abilities (the time it takes to switch between apps), and decrease your battery life because you will have processes trying to open, being closed, and then opening again...you are using more processing power if you do this...with no benefit.

Thanks for the info. Whats crazy is that, as soon as you kill apps, close task manager then reopen it.. a lot of those apps are running again with in seconds.. I eve disabled the ones to not auto sync like stocks and etc.

Pulse Reader is awesome.

Gonna agree with this one, and it looks AMAZING on the TB! :D

You also might want to grab Reader by Google, if you use Google reader for your RSS feeds. It is still the best one at syncing with the on-line Google Reader account (go figure). Pulse will do it but you are limited to only 25 feeds and it can take some time to sync with the on-line Google Reader. I use Reader for my Google feeds and Pulse for everything else.

Excellent Lists! For me, these are my favorites. I hope they help some of you find best of breed.

- The Law Guide & Law Dictionary (I'm a lawyer and a little biased. ;) )

- Quick Settings (One touch to see all important settings, toggle, change)

- Astro File Manager - Well worth the $$$ (File management internal, SD card)

- Got To Do - $ - Best organizer/get things done, sync with ToodleDo

- Phone My PC - $ - Allows you to access your home/office PCs and see the screen, manipulate and control the machines remotely. Superb.

- IMO - Multiple IM accounts. Best instant messenger for Droid software IMHO.

- Shazam - Ever wanted to know the name of the song you were hearing and wish your phone could "listen" via the microphone and tell you?

- Tapatalk - Easiest and most efficient way to view forums. Bookmark favorite subforums too. Indispensable. :)

- Agenda Widget - Simply the most efficient way to show your calendar/agenda on the home screen

- Cube Music Player - You won't be able to find this so here's the link. :) Free, rather amazing player that provides many features stock should -- for example, making use of that button on your headset to fast forward, rewind, etc.
