Searched the forums high and low. Maybe just tired, but what's the scoop on the update for the X10 in the USA? Bought this phone because the saleperson and sales rep for Sony assured me it was going to be out. That's been over 9 month's ago....

Sony has released the update to AT&T but it doesn't look like they will be giving it to customers any time soon or at all. I think that the absolute least they can do for us is offer an early upgrade to the next SE android phone they carry. Perhaps the Arc. In the meantime, do yourself a frickin favor and follow the links in the previous post to set your phone free. At the very least you'll get dual touch and HD video recording. After awhile you can jump to a froyo rom and check out flash player in the browser. There's a whole lot of potential in your x10. Don't keep it a slave to Ma Bell.

seriously if i was on at&t i would of debranded it changed region and not only updated it but also got back my install 3rd party apps option in the settings..
as i have said a million times carriers should NOT be allowed to mess with the phone in anyway! period!!!

you can change its region and free yourself from the carrier updates read the guide carefully though and make sure you pick the right model as i think some u.s phones are x10a not x10i see the txt codes file attached for all of the codes
