Just curious how TB owners are making out with Exchange ActiveSync. My Droid Pro is horrible and I have to use Touchdown. My Droid Inc had issues from time to time as well. If you're having issues, can you indicate what error messages you are getting or what's happening?

Thanks all - I'm all but 100% certain I'm going to get a TB, but corporate email is an absolute must-have.

UPDATE - My TB has done this twice now in two days where it will say something about unable to send, then after a few minutes, it looks like it's going through, then suddenly I see it was sent at least 20-25 times. I absolutely cannot have this in my work device. Last one was just to my wife and she doesn't care, but today's email was to a customer. And not one that likes me all that much, so needless to say I'm sort of fuming right now at my phone.

New Update - this phone is going back. Did it again this morning where it looked like it was having trouble with sync and sending a message, only to my dismay to find out it was sending it 25 times.

I had a Droid Pro and know exactly what you mean. Moto dropped the ball bigtime on that. It was a company phone (thank God) and I gave it back and asked for my blackberry back.

Now I own a Thunderbolt and am very pleased with the Exchange integration. ZERO Issues with exchange. Go for it

EDIT: To be clear I am using the stock Sense 2.0 Exchange

I kept getting frustrated with my gmail not updating properly on the stock mail app that I was ready to just go back to the gmail app but found that you had to add the account as an exchange account. Now I get push email all day every day and it works perfectly. Not sure what you guys are talking about for html support, I can view all my emails exactly like I would on the computer.

Btw, does anyone know if your battery life is just completely F'd using push email?

Same question for me. I have been using TouchDown on a trial basis and have been very pleased. I get HTML email, I can choose to not delete email from the server after reading it on the TB, I can delete large numbers of emails by "checking" them in the list and then click delete once, etc etc. BUT - with very little web browsing, No GPS, a decent 4G signal, few open apps, the battery does not last a full day. I get a lot of email, 200+ a day. Does using push on Android kill the battery, or is there something else going on?
Thanks for any and all advice and thoughts.

Also I just realized I can't search my mail for past emails like I could on the gmail app ( which probably went to the gmail servers to search). I think the only workaround that is to download all past emails. So I put the mail size limit to 50kb and with 6000 emails, that equates to be about 300 megs which isn't a big deal but seems like a really archaic method. Anyone else know of anything?

My syncing has occasional issues, but only when my signal is weak or I am at home on wifi - which doesn't make a lot of sense. At any rate, it certainly works well enough. Sometimes I have a notification that things didn't sync correctly and I tap on something or other to try to sync again and it almost always works. This only happens at home, and like I said, my home signal ain't so great.

The password is a "device security" option. If you lost your phone someone could have access to a ton of trade secrets etc. We had an unlock password on our Blackberrys at work so this isn't that much different.

I kind of wish it let me use an unlock "symbol" instead but it's either letters or numbers bah.

It is quite annoying how when I unlock my screen, I have to put in a pin required by Exchange....I could see doing it to view the mail...but...

Yep, it's an IT security requirement of your company. One plus for Touchdown - the pin can be a single digit and it removes the full device pin requirement. And, the pin is only required if the device is rebooted.
