Help How are you dealing with the TB Battery Issue

i'm connected to wifi either at home or work for most of the day and i'm getting a good 13-14 hrs of moderate use out of the stock battery before it shows lower than 20%.

i also received the 1600 seidio slim extended battery along with the compatible charging plate for the multifunction charger. gonna put it in the external charger overnight and see how battery life is tomorrow. adding a twist just for fun, i'm going 4g only all day. no wifi for the whole day. the first time i've actually tried this with any of my android phones.

day after that i'll use wifi again as i normally would and see how the seidio battery holds up compared to what i was getting with stock.

hmm Idk. I've had mine since Thursday. I listened to Pandora for about 10 minutes today. I did bump charge mine last night, and I could tell a HUGE difference.

I've gotta try bump charging. I'll have to do it at night, though, because I can't miss client calls in the morning/day. Sucks that you need to turn the phone off to do it.

I need my alarm, so I just charged it to green, then unplugged it and turned it off. Then I plugged it back in until green again. Then I turned it back on while it was still plugged in, and went to sleep.

I'm thinking about getting this, just to have a back-up when I have to travel. I'd rather just keep an extra battery in my laptop bag then have a fat arse phone all the time.

Anyone know if these are supposed to be any good? Not looking for improvement over the stock battery, I'd be happy with 90% of what the OEM battery can do. $25 for two batterys seems good.

Please report back after a few days of the Seidio battery . I actually had good expierence with there 1750 battery for the Incredible (the one everyone dogs) got a little better life then my 1500 EVO battery.

I am still using the generic battery as my back up but want to either get another OEM or the Seidio but don't know if the Seidio is worth the extra $25-$30... Let me know what you think

You got it my mann...I'm gonna let it roll for a few days and see how it holds up, then I'll report in...IMO I jumped the gun a little quick, I should have waited for HTC express to drop something A little bit more powerful then what I got from Seidio. But it is what it is, the battery I got for my incredible was pretty good from them, so I figured I'd give it a shot.

Yesterday I returned my TB and got a new one because the plastic casing was coming apart. But I got my new phone home, charged it up one time.

Now i'm going on constant 4G in Chicago and its been

15hrs 30 minutes since unplugged
display 51% - 1h37m
voice calls 16% (30 minutes)
yada yada yada

and im still at 21%!!!!!

with my first thunderbolt I couldn't get it to last more than 11hrs with 4G idling. Did the network update they did to the 4G in Chicago help the battery drain???

Were you using that phone besides 30mins of voice or just looking at it for 15hrs lol :)

What did you have to disable, and where is your screen brightness at?

I was setting the phone up (syncing contacts 2,173) - setting up my corporate email (syncing 30 days worth of emails) installing all my app's back on, setting up my desktop's like i wanted them, playing words with friends. Brightness was on 30% (Sync every hour on GMail and Corproate exchange) bluetooth headset for 30 minutes of voice calls browsed the web (looking at my bracket) did multiple speedtests (hotspot for 20 minutes).

I'm talking crazy long battery life (i was hoping it would be die overnight) so I could plug it in and charge it back up. I'm trying to let it die before I plug it in. But the sucker won't die.

This is almost 2x as long battery life. I was actually so surprised I was gonna pull out my battery and see if they swapped it with a larger capacity battery when I got the new one.

No idea whats going on but my best guess is that they fixed the 4G battery drain that was happening on my first one. Because my old one sitting on the table doing nothing would drain about 10% every 30-45 minutes with just 4G on (no syncing enabled) It was so bad I would turn off mobile data completely to conserve life when I knew I would need it turn it back on. Now i can leave all my settings normal and keep it on 4G!

I think Verizon tweaked their network during the last few days. Before my phone's 4G would keep disappearing for a sec on and off. This caused high battery drain, but it's been a lot more stable lately.

Can you share how you turned off the weather animations? I can't find the setting and, while they are cute, I would love to turn them off.

Remove the clock widget off of your homepage by doing a longpress and draging it to the remove field. Longpress on the homescreen, select widget > Clock. Go to the third clock, Add your location/use current. After selecting there will be a check box for "Show full screen animation". Uncheck and you're good.

Here's my info, basically second time through the whole power cycle for me(3rd day owning):

1D 2H 46M

51% display(set around 30% brightness, 30 sec screen timeout)

13% voice calls

13% standby

11% idle

7% wifi

3% android system

2% camera(I was screwin round with the effects...heh)

Now, for my current battery ramining percentage....

*drumroll*

38%

Not sure what i'm doing special. 4G radio is turned on, I check 3 email accounts + gmail. Mostly all of the widgets are still up(killed friend stream and favorite people or w/e it is called). GPS is off and i've been texting pretty steadily throughout this battery cycle as well.

I may not even need the 2750 battery at this rate!

Yeah. My phone on the standard battery would drain and drain just sitting there idling. I lost 13 percent in 15 minutes. It was depressing. I think the bloat combined with the network still not optimized and running perfectly drains more than it should. I'm on perfect storm now and since I took my phone off the charger this morning at 650 I'm at 55 percent with not just heavy, but continuous use, in 4G, angry birds and browsing and everything going. My screen had been off for maybe 30 minutes today. Its ridiculous the difference a custom rom makes on this device.

I've had the reverse experience of many people. I had great battery life after a couple of days but then Verizon changed their network or i did some app tweaking starting Thusday and now my phone drains 10% every 20 minutes. I only saved it by moving to airplane mode today so i know it's a network connection and not really the display that eating up battery, despite what the phone says.

Has anyone had issues with the market facebook app (not friend stream which i removed due to the character cap), The cubed music player widgets, or the battery life widget by curvefish?

The only other thing that changed is i stopped using a silicon case as it was attracting dust and now i think the phone runs colder but i doubt that could explain a huge loss in capacity.
