I got an xperia x10i and i am with koodo so i got a sim card from koodo but it doesnt work with the phone. it says no service. I am annoyed because the android they release, the optimus one has the exact same frequencies as the xperia x10i so i am not sure what i am doing wrong.

LG optimus one-

RF Band HSDPA 7.2, WCDMA:900/2100, GSM:850/900/1800/1900

SE xperia x10i

GSM850, GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900, UMTS900, UMTS1700, UMTS2100

I thought UMTS and WCDMA are essentially the same thing. Unless my knowledge about this is wrong i dont know what on earth is wrong

Koodo mentioned that the phone i will be using has to be 3g and has to be on the same frequencies so yea.. PLEASE HELP I DONT HAVE A WORKING PHONE

Yea it i bought it factory unlocked.. unless i got my info on the frequencies wrong i dont see what im doing wrong. i dont want to waste my money and pay off my tab just to switch to wind mobile or something... interesting thing happened today. i was on the bus and suddenly i got full signal but it was connected to AT&T and koodo sent me a text saying "welcome to usa. you are on roaming charges" and i was no where near the states
