Staples will sell WiFi only unit end of March early April

Was in a different thread I think...or maybe it was someone else....I just get frustrated with people claiming there are no apps when all the apps that are needed are there. (only one I know of that I need that doesn't exist is the Cisco Anywhere VPN app)

It's not the number of apps available but the function of the ones that are there that matters.

it may not be the number that matters but theres only like 100 or so out right now...i dont need 10 million stupid apps no....but saying you get mad when someone says theres not alot out... well dude theres not lol....seems your saying they should put out the top needed apps and thats all? that wouldnt be to fun for me personally..

Damn, tried again and used the "I see the website says you have them in stock, do you still have any left?"

No beans. Not set to release until tomorrow at 10am when the store open. BOOOOOOOO

Maybe Walmart will have a Midnight release??? That'll work. So begins the search.

Guess I knew how that was gonna end... Called 3 local Walmarts.

  1. Checked the computer and said they had a shipment coming in later this week.
  2. Left me on hold for at least 10-15minutes and then asked me if it was a phone. When I explained, he said that he hadn't heard anything about it. Apparently doesn't know how to operate a computer.
  3. This one was a real treat. As soon as I asked the question, "When will you be getting the Motorola Xoom in stock?", he acted as though I was crazy. "There's no way for me to know that, sir. I have no way of checking." I was in such shock that I didn't even think to ask if he knew how to use the big glowing box in front of him. He probably would have said some like "You mean the TV showing the same boring TV show it always plays?"
Anyway, guess I'll be stopping by Staples before Church tomorrow. I'll do my best to focus.

As pathetic as it seems, that associate was telling the truth. Walmart's inventory system doesn't tell you exactly when something is coming in. The best you can do is guess based on warehouse quantities. The store only figures out what's delivered each night when the truck gets there. It's lame and sounds like an excuse, but there you are. The best part is half the time the computer inventory is wrong.
