Ack! We're going to be AT&T'd up

Oh dear god....This may be a nightmare. When Cingular became AT&T, sh*t hit the fan in regards to billing being messed up. I don't even want to get started. I paid almost $400 to get away from AT&T.....T-mo's customer service has been freeking amazing. I've been with them since they where Voicestream (minus the short stint with Cingular), and have always loved them. Things BETTER not change....except for the better maybe.

The rates, plans, and service will all go away with the name tmobile usa in mid 2012. Once all of us former tmo contracts come up we won't be able to extend our plans. We will then be forced into an at&t plan. I don't like at&t and have left them as my provider once before. I think I'll be looking into sprint because I have had verizon too, and while their network and devices are top notch, their prices and customer service suck!

A little more info....

AT&T to buy T-Mobile from Deutsche Telekom - Business - U.S. business - msnbc.com

This is the perfect statement from a shit company....I HAAAATE At&t....
"AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson said one of the goals of the acquisition would be to move T-Mobile customers to smart phones, which have higher monthly fees. AT&T "will look hard" at keeping T-Mobile's no-contract plans, he said."

"Look hard" my ass. Look hard and say..."naaahhhh"

my advice: ride the tmobile ship until she goes down in flames. I currently work for tmobile and thats what im doing. When it deal actually goes down, everyone on tmobile will need new phones because ATT is using the current 4g on tmobile for their LTE. They said ATT will give us "similar phones" which means they will give us a razar and make us pay out the butt for everything. I hope the ATT troll doesnt find me here....

I hate AT&T and I hate Verizon even more. I moved to TMo over 5 years ago because both of the these providers were too expensive that PLUS I also do work across the pond and my phone will work there (my company pays for all those calls).

I love TMo because of the good phones, good service and great rate plans

I think the FTC, if they allowed this, would be reducing the competition. They brok up BIG BELL for that reason and now, they are letting it happen again.

I don't think any of us do. I have a rocking family plan with my gf and we left Cingular because of crappy customer service. I have yet to have a bad experience over the phone with a cs rep. They've all done the best they could for the amount of knowledge they possess and Customer Loyalty is the best. Sucks. Reports seem that this deal may not go through as the FCC is frowning down on it and it seems like AT&T is going to have to do a lot to prove ample competition in every market. Hope that's so.

so check this out. Where i live, in Lafayette, LA ATT bought a local company called centennial wireless. ATT was forced to give up half of the company to Verizon because they would have had a monopoly in my area. Now if the tmobile deal goes through, ATT will have pretty much all the market in my city. So it seems kinda weird that ATT had to give up half of a small company, so im guessing they will have to give up a lot of tmobile if it goes through.
