Tried to re-program phone since I just got 4G in my area yesterday. It won't call *228.... I can call everything else fine, including *611, but *228 immediately hangs up. Anyone else?

*228 will not work on 4G devices. Provisioning is done through the SIM card. If you're sure that LTE is up and on in your area, try a power cycle.

Its not just the "Kill Simcard #". The first few days it was doing stuff but theyv blocked it now I think.

No it won't.
I dialed it about 3 times earlier today because a user said they were able to on their Tbolt.
It won't even dial or go through.
As soon as you press send the call will end within a second or two.
My phone is still working just fine.

How bout I just had to call in to see if 4G was down in my area! The moron girl in cutomer care started fighting with me to press *228! Even after I told her that was a BIG no no...She said she has the same phone and it's ok! Seriously now??? Anyway, I believe it's disabled, once you dial it, it reverts you back to the dial screen. Anyway Tec support told her to not try and trouble shoot, and that by doing that she is giving out false information. Anyway the Tec said 4G is up and fine in my area and that I should go exchange my phone...lol, they are really quick to send ya right back to the store these days.

I was told that *228 isn't going to affect SIM cards anymore because they've implemented a block to prevent it. But common sense would say not to dial it, just to be on the safe side.
