What do you do for a living?

Self employed with two related jobs, both doing music and nothing but music.

  1. Musician - All saxophones, vocals, wind synthesizer, guitar, flute, bass, keyboard synthesizer and drums - currently in my duo The Sophisticats
  2. Aftermarket style author for Band-in-a-Box and Microsoft Songsmith also aftermarket fake disks for Band-in-a-Box at Norton Music

I enjoy doing music and nothing but music for a living.

A wise man once said that if you make a living doing what you would do for free, you will never work a day in your life. Other than a couple of "real" jobs I've had, I've never worked a day in my life. They don't call it playing music for nothing!

I'm with Norton...sort of. After the real estate market crashed, and my sister and I couldn't keep our business up I just play music for a living. I've spent the last few years touring up and down the east coast. I'm very fortunate for this opprtunity, and I respect it in this economy. I'm now trying to get into scoring music for commercials and games as well.

I have a hard time working "the daily grind", and get bored with things often. Music has provided me a consistent life with enough inconsistency to hold my attention.

I also used to build computers, do tech work for people, teach music, paint commercially, design web sites, plus guitar and amp repairs. Odd that I come from an Ivy league family and all I want is to be happy doing what I'm doing. I don't want to wake up one day and realize I was to busy working like a dog to enjoy the best years of my life.

What's the name of the movie? And where might we find some of your modeling work... post something up for us. :D

Its called Drop The World :) It's not exactly the big budget first movie i always dreamt of doing BUT it's a start and I hope 10 years from now, i'll have a few oscar nods under my belt lol but for my first time acting in anything besides a school play, i am enjoying the ride..low budget or not :D

and as far as modeling, those photos are not something I want nor do i think i could post here.

Nothing Xrated of course(i dont do stuff like that) but a little too sexy for AF haha

it really is intriguing to read about the various members here and lets you have an insight on some of the regulars.
Great thread

In Kentucky? Why drive when you can ride... especially the parkway between US65 and US75! Oh what a glorious motorcycling road that is. MUCH better than anything we have in Hoosierland. There are a few parts of Brown County that are worth throwing a leg over the bike to twist down. But nothing like there are in the Blue Grass state.

But the roads in Tennessee blow us both away. So.....

;)
