Hi guys.

I use to own the x10 mini i really liked it only the battery was abysmal and it was a bit too small:p

i've read a few reviews which slate the x8 so i'm wondering whether its worth a purchase for a budget smartphone handset?

I'm not fussed about it only having android 2.1 and not being able to handle too many games as i don't really play games on my device and i only use a few apps such as ones for checking sports scores.

So basically i only use my mobile for calling, texting, web browsing and using a few apps (not a lot) so would i be ok with this?, i have considered the bigger x10 but obviosuly that its

Heya,
I have a white X8, The battery is good unless u are on the web (or navigation/gameing). Maybe 2hrs of "screen on" and "heavy data traffic". I dont call people so not sure about Call Time of the Battery.

It's actually pritty good for web surfing, NO double touch option can cause havic, If you goto Sony Ericsson Help's Live chat, then u can't zoom in on the chat window, the zoom buttons displayed are for the web page, and the chat portal has higher priority. That's the only time I have had trouble, Ironicly haha.
Phone is good for banking and web e-mail, all that stuff.

WARRNING: You can NOT use the phone to connect your pc/laptop to the internet. - I have just rooted mine in order to try to find a way, this makes my phone void of warrenty so SHAME ON SONY ERICSSON for this. I have still NOT been able to do this. You can get a tether APP on market that replicates this, but it's not the same thing, cost's extra, IT IS A RIGHT IF YOU OWN YOUR PHONE TO USE IT!

Leaves my HTC for dust, i only use the X8 now. My mate has a X10 mini, very simmiler with a bigger screen and harder to loose lol
