Root [ROM][4-14] Salvage-Mod 1.2.1 [GB-AOSP][4G]

Not sure if this would work on Savage-mod. It is from CM7 and is supposed to be just for GB roms and it appears Savage is just that. I would make sure you make a nandroid before you flash this if you chose to do that.

Not sure if it will make a difference or not but it worked great when I flashed CM7 yesterday with the gapps from their site.

wouldn't take for me :( Had to put the original one back on.

Sorry I haven't really been around. To answer some ?s

i flashed the above kernel. still getting 6-7 hours on and battery dies. i turn off BT and GPS when i am at work. anything else i can try. i am pretty experienced with this device but unable to see what is causing the battery drain.

You need to let the rom settle. Testing battery right after you flash any rom is not accurate. You wipe battery stats when you wipe data. Let the rom settle a few days, through a few charge cycles.

Installed it today. Had a question. Sometimes when I install new roms, google syncs my apps to the phone and sometimes not. This time it did not. How do I get it to do that?

I'll also probably play with different kernals the next few days.

You need google apps. Available on salvage-mod.com. An updated version too :D

No, cms gapps will NOT work with this rom. They use a different implementation of google apps. Use the ones on our website.

Ok I've had enough with this rom. I do enjoy it but it crashed on me after the suggested kernel. Went back and reinstalled it and the battery drains quick. Guess it's back to something else

Sorry to hear that. My guess is you didn't let the rom settle. Maybe someday you'll give it another shot =P
