I'm only posting this because I have seen a number of people around the web lamenting the fact they can't print directly from their EVO's.

Well, there is a free (to try) app in the market called PRINTERSHARE that allows you to send any print job from your EVO to your home printer over the web (no usb required). As long as your home computer is on, you can be 100 miles away and send a job to your printer. The full version is just $4.99 and a steal at twice the price.

It works as advertised and it's free to try. Check it out. This got 5 Stars on my kewl-o-meter.

The free version of Printershare is limited to 20 pages before you have to buy the full version. For $4.99 the full version also allows WiFi printing to nearby printers, & unlimited pages. Works great on my Evo.

Best $5 you ever spent. This is such a great app i really am surprised it doesn't get much press. The first time I ever tried this I had a serious "damn-this-actually-works!" moment.

Wow - this is an old post!

OK, I'll show my ignorance, what does Chrome to Phone have to do with being able to print from my EVO?

I'm guessing he meant Google cloud print feature on Chrome - Google Cloud Print Help
Allows you to print from your phone to any printer connected to your PC (that is running the Chrome browser with the cloud print extension installed)

That's what I'm talking about! Sweet! Previous Android printing options have been as much as 10x that price. I'll drop $5 on that feature anytime.

I've been using a primitive print spooler at my house. Basically a little app monitors a folder on my desktop PC. If a file appears in that folder, it prints it. When I'm home I can just use ES File Explorer to put the file in the queue folder, but even when I'm away from home I can just FTP it there via ES File Explorer or DroidFTP.

Anyway, that was working but it was a kludge. This is the real deal! Thanks!
