I started teaching a new class in 3D graphics and chose to model the Android mascot for the first project as shown here. The character is fully animatable - you can now create your own animations, like the one in the Sprint television ads. If you want the Cinema 4D file (in native .c4d), drop me a PM. I can also output the file as Wavefront .obj or 3D Studio .3ds format.

That's the trouble with shortcuts. Using shortcuts does not teach you the mechanics of how something works. If I click the Insert Image button and a picture is inserted for me, I am not learning the HTML code for image placement in a message. Nor do I need to unless I come across an instance (like here) where it would be helpful to know the coding.

On the other hand, I could tell you that in order to make the half sphere head for Phanny you take a sphere and a cube of the same dimensions and enclose both in a Boolean object container using the A subtract B argument. Same goes for the "eyes" - those are actually cylinders enclosed in a subtract Boolean container. But it's much easier just to click a button on a toolbar.
