Arc, Not 'out of' thats for sure!

What an amazing phone.

I decided to switch today from Orange to Voda, plus the SE Arc (Moving from HTC Desire).

The arc is seriously amazing. Great screen quality, no bloatware if you buy unlocked, great camera and HDMI output to my TV.

Compared to my Desire the menu speed is much faster. Also works well with MediaGo if you sync a playlist. Bye bye itunes at last!

Honestly I cant describe it anymore, it just feels and performs amazingly.

I agree with slimhaydy, i have just come from a Desire also, and i have to say the Arc is a beautiful looking phone and the screen is quite simply amazing. The one thing that struck me straight away is how incredibily light the Arc is but not in a bad way. Screen is very responsive too. To be honest, i have not spent much time on it at present as i intend to give the phone a good few hours charge.

I will in due course give a more detailed review when i have thoroughly tested the phone some more.

Cant comment on gaming yet, but if the rest of the phone is anything to go by.... Anyway a few desire owners have 'handled' my phone and the comments straight away were how light and good it felt. My apps purchased on the Desire downloaded no problem, and others such as catch notes transferred after authentication. The display is great, doesnt seem to be as much glare in bright light. Only thing was seeing used to not having HTC sense, but I soon got over it.

hows the incall volume?
maybe an owner whos moved from an X10 would be best to answer as the X10 is dreadful unless your in a quiet environment, i am hoping they have improved this one thing in the Arc

I've made a few calls now and can say that the incall volume is good, actually had to turn it down a bit.

Well it's now a week since i have 'the arc' and honestly... i'm amazed. they are a few things on the phone that i dont like..but overall its amazing.
Its a big phone, if anyone says "ah .. its big.. but ..." no but, the truth is .. that is really big (but if u want a big screen .. u need a big phone). the browsing isnt as quick as the iphone but its still great. the phone is really fast, altough it already freezed me up twice since i own it... and i had to turn it off and then turn it on again (that took AGES..). Another thing is .. on vertical mode the keyboard isnt as accurate as it could be, sometimes i miss a few keys and my fingers arent that big.

The looks are great, really really great.. i love it. its thin and light.
the camera is also very good, i already took a few great shots.
the LCD is perfect... and the sound is very very good. even the people who call me say that they listen me way better now.

I have a doubt, when you guys receive a message does your screen light up?
i usually have mine to vibrate mode (no sound) .. and sometimes i dont listen the arc vibration. it would be nice if the screen comes up.

I was wondering if one of you can test the camera out in a pitch black room and take some pictures/videos? I want to see if you can get the same result as the Arc model that Sony showcased at MWC. Watch the youtube video here. This just blew me away!!! It's UNBELIEVABLE that the camera could 'see' in the dark.

Had my ARC a week and i can tell you that the low light performance of the camera is simply AWESOME - although it doesn't "see" in the pitch dark, it sure as hell improves it an awful lot

Will try and get a shot outside tomorrow night, one with the X10 and one with the Arc and upload for comparison - think you will be soundly impressed - or should that be visually impressed lol

gaming is awesome on this, but very rarely asphalt 5 laggs, just on some curves, very little... graphic is amazing

pes 11, quake 2, gt racing... awesome
