Oh, and just for confirmation can someone try this...
-while in text messaging, open up a message thread, bring up the keyboard while in portrait, rotate your phone to landscape, then hit the back key. whenever my keyboard is up and the screen rotates and I back out the thread jumps to the first message in the thread.
Same here.
Ok so over a week in and this is a most excellent ROM I must say. I really wasn't expecting such a large jump in performance. It's been a rather pleasant surprise.
The two distractions I've come across thus far are...
1. Some of my apps seem to start over when I leave to go to another app and then return later. For instance I play 'Alien Defender' when I'm bored. In the past I've gone into settings one time, set everything up, and it keeps my preferences no matter if I back out of the app, power off my phone, pull the battery or any other activity. I set it up after flashing a new ROM, and it's good to go. But since flashing GB, any time I stop playing the game and start another activity, next time I open 'Alien Defender' again, all the settings are back to their default values.
The issue is sort of similar on Dolphin HD browser, but not exactly. Say for example I have this forum open in Dolphin and I type this post out and submit it, it shows up in the thread just fine. But then if I go back to my home screen and do another task or two or whatever and then open the browser again, when it first opens I'll see it's right where I left it... but then the screen goes blank for a second, and the page reloads, only my post won't be there. It goes back one step as if I hit the back button. So I'll see the post right before mine, but mine will no longer be there. Not that it's done anything with it of course, once it's been entered it's in the data banks as always. It's just that my Dolphin browser wants to go back to the previous page I was on before, and I haven't the faintest clue why?
2. This really isn't an annoyance as much as it's an observation... the 'Droid' notification ringtone has been stripped of all its bass. I noticed it sounded much different when I first flashed it, but I couldn't really put my finger on what the difference was? But the 1st time I hooked up to my car stereo to listen to the MP3 player and a text came through, I knew immediately what the difference was. On froyo, the 'Droid' notification came through my stereo system with thunderous bass, very strong and intimidating. But now, there is no bass coming out of my two 12's when the 'Droid' comes over my system. Now it's all treble, no midrange to speak of either.
It's not all THAT noticeable just coming out of the phone speaker. But over a high power system, there is a big difference between the two. I sorta thought that was odd.
