I have an ASUS transformer. Any questions?

So far it's absolutely gorgeous and Honeycomb is excellent.

The build is very high standard. The brown back is lovely.

Can't really fault much....

One of the Apps, MyNet is not in english, with no option to change it. No major issue, but "Musica | Fotografias | Videos" Maybe a bit rushed....

And no MyCloud app included

Oh yeah, the space on Honeycomb is dynamic, so no more allocation of device app space :) This means the internal storage can be used for apps or media (just like the Xoom).

1. Do you have a microsd to test to see if the port actually works? Xoom's does not, of course.

2. Can you tell if it has USB host or not? Perhaps needs the keyboard for that.

3. Odd there is no manual. Perhaps there is a PDF manual in the flash memory you can attach here? ;)

4. If you have seen a Xoom, or iPad (more likely), how does the display compare?

1. I'm told by ASUS that it does work, but I'll have to wait until later when I can borrow the one from my Dell Streak to confirm.

2. The only "USB" port is the charger port which isn't a standard USB port. Probably not a HOST port, but you never know. There are real USB post on the keyboard, which I dont have.

3. I've used the filemanager included to look for one. I can't see one anywhere.

4. I've seen the iPad2 recently. I'd say it was on a par with that. It's very very good, with a very wide viewing angle.

Still getting my head around Honeycomb. It's very slick! I haven't notice any sluggishness at all. Sometimes a click is not registered, but that could be me being sloppy.

I love it.

What I've learned with my Droid X is that if the screen is in the middle of a transition (i.e. sliding between screens, or just scrolling), then it won't register any other presses until it stops.

Thanks for answering questions and 1+ for pictures too.

1. What type of videos (codecs, formats, resolution) are you putting onto it and what's the playback experience like?

2. Have you played around with Polaris Office yet? If so, was it smooth or laggy or..?

3. Is there a custom Asus app launcher on the 'main' page with the apps, and if so, can it be disabled? Can the top taskbar be changed to a solid color? Also are there any other custom UI/skin changes that you've seen?

Thanks! :D

Heya,

I live in england and have put off buying one myself purely because every fortnight that goes by something better or different comes out. Perhaps you can make my mind up for me...

1: Is it fully compatible with Silverlight? I can watch all my cable tv on a pc but it uses Microsoft Silverlight, not flash.

2: I saw another person ask about video codecs etc. I guess its very important to know if the tablet is able to watch all videos etc, not just youtube. Id love to be able to just drag media over to it and watch without having to change or alter the format, something that along with no flash/ silverlight makes me avoid ipad.

Now if only it had a screen that worked in sunlight!
