Anyone else know why the back lit hard keys are now way too bright? They seem more sporadic also than with 2.2, not that they were ever consistent.
Mine are definitely brighter. Also, they aren't the multi-colored LEDs like the notification LED. So, they are the same color as always and software can do nothing to change that.I wouldn't really say they brighter, just more white.
i don't understand why this seems to bother everyone so much. they are brighter. probably just due to a software tweak due to people complaining they weren't bright enough before now. they are LED lights, this shouldn't worry anyone.
Yes I can attest to them being brighter (and whiter like Airmaxx's ), but it only bothers me when I'm on one of my Ninja assassination missions and the blasted things give my location away. On a plus note, when I am spotted all I have to do it throw it about 10 feet from my location and it draws the machine gun fire away from me, leaving me an excellent opportunity for a clean get away!
Blasting you?
Haha, I agree they are brighter by a noticeable margin over where they were set before. But to say those tiny (not anywhere close to high intensity powered LED's) are blasting light at us is similar to saying, "a snail rushed me while I stood on the lawn"... a bit of an over statement.
I did notice that last night when my phone was in the dock, they did not turn off at all. the first night I know they did but last night, no matter what I tried they would not turn off while in the dock... not really a big deal just something else I noticed
Isn't there a way in 'Spare Parts' or maybe even in a stock setting that can turn off those LEDs? I swear I've seen a setting somewhere that asked me if I wanted them left on, or turn them off.
Adding this to the build.prop file fixes the hard key light issues:
ro.com.motorola.smartsensor=true
Dunno why its missing in GB builds but it was included in the builds up to froyo.
