Help Returning cracked X... is bootstrap gone?

I had a rooted and deodexed gingerbread themed X and restored to just rooted via bootstrap once the (official?) Gingerbread Update (allegedly) happened this week. Ironically, I dropped my X and shattered the screen and got a little bit of water on it . But it still works! I unrooted via Z4Root, and uninstalled bootstrap and super user. But when I restarted, got the clockwork mod recovery prompts. I did a factory data/wipe.

So... are all root traces gone now? I don't see Superuser or bootstrap in the App Drawer and I stopped the install from the market.

Will my phone be ok to return as it is or should I flash it first?

If you know how to flash it I would do that first just to be safe.
