Help Battery from 100% to 75% overnight...

...no usage. Midnight until 8am this morning.

Currently running rooted EB01 deodexed stock froyo with EC01 radio and EC10 voodoo kernel.

Seems like alot for just being in cell standby.

Mines been doing that all along and people keep saying theres would go days, cant belive that and I turn everything off. I haven't downloaded Froyo yet because I wanted to see complaints first:mad:

If your signal comes in and out where ever you leave your phone it will use a lot more battery. Your phones begins to search for a signal when it loses it, so this searching for a signal kills your battery. That's the only thing i can think of that would cause the symptom you are describing.

If you are in a strong 3G area, or 3G is turned off when not in use (WiFi radio too), it can easily last 5 days.

If you leave WiFi, BT, 3G, GPS, all on, all the time; sure. You'll get a day at best. Less if you are in a 1x, 2G, weak 3G area.

Time without signal is 0%.

Also, wifi, bt, gps are all off. I do have data turned on, but if I turn that off, might as well go back to my flip phone.

I just can't figure it out.

If you have a setting for "always-on mobile data" separate from mobile data (3G) - try turning that off.

If you're in a fringy area, you'll get constantly handed off between towers, battery will drain, and you'll think from your metrics that you have square 3G coverage when it's actually flakey.

If you have the option I'm describing and can turn it off, you'll know if that's the cause, so maybe worth a shot.

Sorry - don't have your phone, so I'm extrapolating from others experiences (including my own) on the settings.

 I agree with you all, this battery problem is worse than ever! We waited sooooo long for this? Ugggg. Need a GOOD fix for this other than toggleing the mobile data button on and off all day just to save a little battery life. There HAS to be a better solution. Either from Verizon/Samsung or a Tech wiz. PLEASE HELP US!!!
