Mine is ordered from Best Buy with estimated delivery date at the store of 5/11. No stores in NC had it in stock in the store.

Like 99% of the folks I missed out. Seems like all the retailers were on the same page. Roll it to make the release date, them slam the door once the inventory was sold. And trying to call the local stores was a joke - none of them seemed to know what it was. So I doubt there was any real plan to get it out to the real stores. I would not have had a problem with back ordering mine. Well back to the waiting game I guess.

I ordered one successfully at Amazon at 3:01am EST. It's being prepared for shipping atm. Several people on XDA got an order in as well from there and Best Buy. Best Buy posted inventory online about 30-40m before Amazon did early this morning, but I waited for Amazon.

So am I to understand that you can't actually buy this from IN a store. That you have to purchase it from online from like every store?

I called BB and they told me it was only available online. I went to Staples this morning and they didn't know what the hell I was talking about. WTF?

That's my area. I didn't even bother checking outside of the two BB's (kofp and plymouth meeting). Just had the feeling they were not really "on the shelves" like Asus said they would be. If Lenovo can ship early June, I just might wait on their slate. It's so much more connected on the tablet. Full size USB, microUSB, Full size SD and mini-HDMI. Plus it has the keyboard dock. But I don't know if it has a battery in the dock. Would hope so just for weight balance purposes.

I've heard some people say that Frys has them in store, but there are none of those in Florida.

I called the Fry's in North Houston and was told they expect to have them in 1-2 weeks. Apparently none of the BestBuys in Houston have any Transformers and nobody will give me an estimated arrival date.

Seems that either the actual demand is extremely high, or [more likely] the actual supply is extremely low.

I ordered my ASUS this morning on bestbuy.com for pickup at my store. It was a ship to store and initially said 3-5 days, but upon checkout it told me that I could pick it up May 11th at the earliest...

Just got an email from Best Buy updating my order and it says: "The pickup date for this order has changed. You should now be able to pick up the item(s) below on 04/30/2011..."

A lot better than originally stated...Hopefully it's even sooner than that, but either way, should have mine from Best Buy this weekend, which is fine with me!

I ordered from BestBuy.com at about 4:30am and it has shipped. I got my tracking number, just waiting to see if it comes tomorrow or Thursday. This looks like it was done almost entirely by internet sales today. Seems like nothing local walk in has stock, much less heard of the device....
