DAMN! I decided to root and then the RUU upgrade last night about the time the 4g died and I spent HOURS trying to figure out why I was only getting 1x.. I was going nuts! I reflashed about 6 times and then tried to go back and forth with different roms.. UGH!
no prob, thanks the guys over at XDA... I thought I did something wrong when I flashed a new kernal & ended up reflashing the RUU/Radio ROM, had to reinstall everything last night, up till 3am...
and like trying to watch regular TV after watching HD for a few months. all the tiny annoyances seem so much bigger and less acceptable. call it spoiled if you will, i call it evolution... raising the standards.
...and leaving yourself susceptible to crushing disappointment.
Thank goodness you guys posted this on the forum. I was freaking out bc I thought i messed up my 4G somehow. Nice to know this is Verizon's fault and i'm not the only one suffering. I'm in NY btw. Any guesses on how long this will take to fix?
So has anyone complained and gotten a credit to their account or any kind of compensation for pain and suffering? Wondering if it's worth my time to complain....

$10 is way more than the value of 24 hours of data (assuming they get it fixed by tonight). at $40 a month (estimated) for data, that comes out to about $1.33 a day. you just got 7.5 times that. that's actually a good deal.
90% of people probably pay the 30 for unlim so each day is actualyl a buck. 10 days worth of free data is definitely not too shabby. Might have to do something myself.

agreed. i was just making an example that even on the high end he's getting quite a deal. you're paying them for a service, and in the event of a failure i would hope they would compensate - at bare minimum - the value of the service lost. in this case, they are compensating (at least 1 individual) several times that. i'd say that's good customer service.
great customer service would be offering something like that to all affected customers without having it requested. we shall see...
just did the xda fix and it worked like a charm. I'm not sure when this thread started but all my internet(3g 1x) went out on monday, and did not get anything back til this morn wednesday(only got 1x)
