Root bricked NC trying to root with Auto Nooter 3.0 after 1.2.0 software update

My NC now won't boot past the "n" screen, after the "Read Forever" screen. Would using Nookie make my NC turn back on enough for me to fix it? If it would, HOW would I fix it? I'm not terribly tech savvy, sorry to say. I just got the stupid thing yesterday; maybe I should just return it and get a new one? :thinking:

Bricked is a more permanent problem, you're just boot-looping.

Your Nook starts to boot, crashes and starts over again. All you see is the startup (boot) screen.

what your doing is your booting from the SD card clockwork MOD. From there you can flash custom ROM like CM7 or the stock back.

Beware, when flashing to stock, it may take up to 8 boots for it to work. I kept flashing stock over and over, and then read that you don't need to keep flashing jut keep rebooting.

Can't say I'd be jumping on this yet either: ManualNooter 4.4.27 (For Stock 1.2) - xda-developers

From the little I read last night, sounds like there's still some issues to be cleared up.

Rooting stock is like gold plating a turd, IMO... you still have a turd.

I happen to like my rooted stock...personally. It does exactly what I want/need it to do. I still have all the functionality of the orginal nook, with just enough access and other stuff to keep me happy.
Not all of us are programmers, or techie enough to handle all the other stuff, but want just a little more than "stock". It's perfect for me...to each his own.

I'm not trying to cram it down anybody's throat, I'm just happy with it for myself.

Hopefully they'll come out with a new nooter so I can upgrade to get flash. If not I'll stick with what I have and be perfectly happy about it. If I want to watch something on flash I'll get on my computer.

It fixed itself. After about a dozen turn on/turn offs, it finally reinstalled the original software back onto it.

I am not tech savvy enough to use ManualNooter; I'll wait till there is a new version of AutoNooter for 1.2

Hello all I just purchased a nook color yesterday (28 May 11) and I was hoping to learn how I can go about watching Netflix on the device but still be able to download and read my B&N books. Im new to tablets so please assume I dont know much tech wise. Thank you.
