I exchanged my G2X today. This was a good move by me. Here's why.

1. So far the phone hasn't locked up. Before I would have to remove the battery at least 3 times a day.
2. After fully charging I have reinstalled all my apps, made several phone calls, surfed the web, and listened to the XM Radio app and I still have 75% battery life after 5 hours off the charger. My other phone would go dead after about 6 hours with very little use.
3. My other phone never saw a max of 1.8mbps download during the day. The new phone has recorded over 10mbps download during peak hours.
4. Absolutely no light leaks even on full bright.
5. When I put my phone in the car dock it will go into car home mode. My other phone didn't.

If any of you who are having trouble have not taken your phone back you really need to. I just wish I didn't wait almost 2 weeks.

It's probably a bit late to be asking this but, are there any discernable bits of information that would link the difference from your old phone to your new one? Serial number, lot number, date stamp, country of origin etc. Or is it more luck of the draw?

I'm close to exchanging mine, but don't want to go through this process till I get a non lemon.

Yeah it is a little late. I didn't record any information from the other phone. So far today the phone has been off the charger for 4 hours and I still have 89% battery life and no shutdowns.

I sadly today had to call and have it exchanged today. The phone was on a call went dark and then never woke back up.T-Mobile is sending one out a hot swap. Phone should be here Monday or Tuesday. I called to just exchange it at a local store. They said none of the stores around me do that.

Are you saying you exchanged your G2x for another G2x phone and that one is working fine? I just got my phone on Friday and I am having the same kind of battery issues.
thanks for the help.

Is your battery still working well? I am considering exchanging my phone and I have about 8 more days before my trial period expires.
thanks

Sounds like exactly what I went through.

After reading about some online petition asking LG for a recall for this phone, I do also believe they try to push out the "first" dual core phone in the world by releasing the faulty product. My phone even after exchanged for a brand new one, still suffers from random reboot and just play dead in some situations. Battery just drained over night. Quite disappointing with LG.
