Help Okay, so my upload speed isn't ANY faster after the update.....

AT&A has admitted their network needs work to support all the smartphones and tablets that have been popping up. I really dont understand why everyone is getting so upset. Atleast they are making an attempt to fix it. Its not like they are telling us we are S.O.L. Deal with the slower speeds now and let them work.

Back to the thread: I just rebooted and Im getting my fastest upload speeds yet. Out of three test I averaged 1.176Mbps upload.

Maybe so, but in San Diego at least, and after a reboot:

723 download
236 upload

Worst ever!

I posted this on the other thread.....

My speeds in the D/FW area are pathetic:

Since the update (4/29-5/2)

Down Up (Mbps)

2.25 0.07
2.58 0.35
0.18 0.08
0.31 0.28
1.66 0.34
0.44 0.30

Before the update (4/17-4/28):

2.93 0.08
0.69 0.28
2.89 0.35
0.50 0.27
0.36 0.26
1.76 0.18

My Inspire updated with no issues. After it re-booted I re-booted again as others suggested. Still no improvement in speed what so ever!

just imagine how much more strained the network is with everyone running 20 speed tests to see if their speeds after the update are any faster! LOL
:D

I updated last night. Speeds prior to the update were not so great. I have H+ showing and before the update my download speeds were in the 1.5-2.5 Mbps range. Upload speeds were 0.3-0.5 Mbps. After the update, the speed are MUCH worse. I can't get over 0.2 Mbps down. I pulled the battery 3 times. Restarted the phone, left it off over night, pulled the battery again, restarted the phone. Currently speedtest with 4 bars showing H+ I am getting 0.12 Mbps down and 0.11 Mbps up with 221 ping.
I've only had the phone a week, its pretty impressive, but ATT service appears to be a joke.

In the Kansas City area, I'm at 1659 kbps down and only 202 kbps up.

I'm kind of a newbie, what's the best way increase the speed (if it's anything in my control)? When I first got the phone, I was at 2650 kbps down and 612 kbps up.

EDIT - Sorry, I meant to post this in a different phone thread. Mods, please delete.
