Help Screen Stays White

Here's the short end of it.

I cracked and replaced my HTC EVO 4G digitizer. Much more difficult than the vidoes suggest as whoever put mine together was glue happy that day.

I reconnected all 3 cables (digitizer, screen, camera) and at first, it would boot, play audio (how I know it was able to boot). Now I have no audio. The screen stays white.

If I swipe, I can change the intensity of the LCD (so I know something is working) brightness. Obviously the new digizers works.

Ideas?

LCD needs to be replaced.
Happens on BB, Nextels and other devices i have worked on.
Replacing it has been the only way i have seen to fix this.
I wish i knew why and had a way to fix it other then an LCD replacement. I know all devices (from different manufacturers and makes and models) are made differently. I have seen this problem on a lot of devices, HTC, BB, Nextels.
Most of the time i can take damaged parts phones and simply swap LCD's and they work. In some instances the WHITE lcd would work in a different device. Other times it will still stay white. As long as its the same model phone most devices have interchangable parts. But putting that original LCD back into the phone will create the same white screen. Its anoying but it happens.
