That's fine in a couple months we will have gingerbread, and with that comes support for Google Voice with video (gingerbread has the needed libs. to make switching cameras native)... Skype will be gone soon... :p

That's very wishful thinking... you think the TB gingerbread update will be to 2.3.4 - which is the only version that officially works right now (not counting root)?? And in a few months?

My guess is that the GB update won't happen until next year since Verizon is notorious for not releasing software updates in a timely manner.

I will be getting rid of my Skype account as soon as I can use GTalk for video chat on my phone

Gingerbread is supposed to be released in June, I highly doubt it will be delayed till next year.
