Hi,

From last week I'm having a wierd issue.. battery drains within 7-8 hours.. even if phone is used only for making calls and receiving calls. No internet usage.

I even tried replacing the battery. no luck. while charging it just went up to 87 % and from there never progressed to 100 %.

is this issue related to phone hardware? any idea? any suggestions?

Have you installed anything recently.

Install a Task Manager temporarily and take a look at what is running on the phone.

So, run the Task Manager....kill all running apps....wait a few minutes and open Task Manager back up again and take a look at what apps are running. Do you need these Apps installed?

I had some Alarm app installed, I used it once...then even though I turned it off, it would always run in the background. I removed it. It was wasting battery power.

Do you leave your MMS/Data and GPS on all the time? This will waste battery power...same with leaving Wifi on all the time.

More icons you have, the more homescreens you use....the more widgets and the more apps your phone has installed, all use more battery power.

This was happening to me. I am not tec savvy so bear with me here.

If your cord has a usb cable attatched to the thing that plugs into the wall to charge, I do believe that is the problem.

I was getting so fed up with a dead phone I was ready to throw it out and I just got it in Jan or Feb.

Anyways, I had an old charger from my keybo phone that fit and works like a charm. I get a full charge, it last all day..from 6am and still has a charge when I go to bed around 11 or so.

My suggestion is to only use that cord as the usb to plug into a computer and find another that fits your phone.

Good Luck.

I need to downgrade back to 1.6!
With 1.6 i had an uptime op 7-8 days, with 2.1 uptime is about 6-8 hours.
No apps installed, no wifi, nu umts, no gps etc enabled!! (Used to have 200 apps installed on 1.6)

My galaxy s1 has uptime of 3-4 days with wifi, gps and umts on!! I use my galaxy s alot (90 minutes mp3 a day, while reading news etc in the train)

Even if i don't touch the x10 it's empty in about 8 hours.
None of my phones are rooted, and i'm not about to.

Anyway.. is there a legal way to downgrade the damn x10 because it's useless at the moment.
Ps. The phone is about 6 months old.
