Help Phonebook linked to Facebook

Hi guys

Up until the other week i had got most of my contacts in my phonebook linked with there facebook accounts. Then an update for facebook cam so i updated then hey presto no linked contacts. I have been through all the settings (as i had this problem to start off wioth when i first had the fone) and nothing. When i long click on a contact and try and link all i get is my google contacts and nothing from facebook. Even new contacts i cant link.

Can anybody shed any light on this as it bugging the life out of me

Go to Facebook app and see if it is set to sync with contacts.

If it does not work, try using Timescape.

My facebook Phonebook Folder is missing aswell. When i long press on home screen an select folders i used to have a folder saying facebook phonebook now this has gone aswell. Tried what you suggested but to no avail.

Might have to do a factory reset and redo everything again

I don't have the Facebook folder as well after the newest update so I think they removed it but don't know why.

Before you reset it, go to your contacts and in the top left corner press the button. In here you can change which contacts are shown. Try that.

Chenga - Ive tried all of that as i had problems when i first had the phone with the phonebook and when i done the update.

If i uninstall the update for facebook i get the contact folder back but when i update it goes. got to try a few other things first but i will email SE and see if they can shed any light on this but would be nice to know if anybody else is having the same problem with linking contacts

First step should be to go under Settings: Accounts & sync and make sure Facebook is still activated.

The account is still active it was actually the settings for facebook its self that needed changing to be synced with my contact list but i still havent got the phonebook for facebook folder??

If i sync my contacts to my facebook then i get duplicate numbers as well (only when the persons number is active on facebook). I might try a factory reset tonight to see if this solves the problem but i just dont understand why facebook (or sony) have taken away the facebook phonebook folder off the phone (probably facebook more than sony)
