Was planning on making a 2 hour drive to Frys in Georgia since they had the Transformer in stock, or so the site (and customer rep I called) said, yesterday. Then right before I'm about to leave, I decide to check the site again, and it was no longer in stock. Thinking some bastard bought my Transformer
, I called Frys
and they told me they didn't even have it in the first place!!!
So, now I'm playing around with my Iconia. Not having much fun though since 1, I'm on a Mac and too lazy to turn on my Windows laptop, and 2, because of a storm I'm now using tethering off my iPhone 4 (att, what fun!), and HC can't connect to it (i read adhoc networks aren't supported
) and I didn't discover Android File Transfer until after I downloaded an 80gb or so driver from Asus to be proven that my suspicions were correct and that it was for Windows only.
Enough whining. I doubt it's going to happen, but if the Transformer does hit BB or Walmart or whatever in the next 14 days, I'll return my Iconia. But I don't think I'll be in a rush once my net is back on.
On a sidenote, I have no clue why people think the bezel is too big. It fits my thumbs perfectly. And since the Transformer and Iconia's bezels seem to be similar in size, I don't think it's an issue for either. Or maybe I just have fat thumbs.
