Even after the may 5th NY event there still are no official specs? I can't find the dimensions. The only thing they give is the 8.9 to 9.24 millimeter thickness. What about width and height?

A bit thinner? I held one today, this makes the Evo look and feel like a brick not to mention the Thunderbolt. This phone feels great in hand. Light, thin and a monster screen.

So since its out already, anyone can quote the specs from the box or manuals? If all else fails, TAPE MEASURE! What is up with this. Samsung is trying to hide the *unflattering" dimensions while touting the thinness.

That's correct.
Of the insane number of smartphones I've used, the only led notification system is on BlackBerry's. I really loved my BB 9000, but hated that it was at that point in time that RIM began shipping unstable and very buggy OS's.
I had been a very avid user for at least three years before the Bold, and had about 12 BB's. Only because I like choices and upgrading frequently, not because they had problems. In fact they were so reliable it's was just fantastic. I still miss them today for what they are best at. Too bad RIM lost their way.
Even with the first Bold I hung in with them and installed "leaked" OS's from the various carriers. Conservatively I bet I changed OSs 12 times before I finally got fed up and that was that, the end of a very good time, with a great phone while they lasted.
