I haven't tried yet... According to others it gives an error but installs...

hey dudeman, i managed to install M5 via fastboot and everything's fine but i have a question though..what's the difference from v1.9 and other cyanogen versions?? everythings pretty much the same to me, or so i think...could you enumerate some significant features added to this version(milestone) that is not on cm v1.9?

You can get 2.3.4 by following the instructions in the first post. The Market will still work as normal

All the differences between the versions are in the changelog in the first post. Most of the updates are bugfixes and such. Check out the changelog

It still does, but what happens is that it installs system.img but not boot.img, so you can install it through recovery but after you've done that you'll still have the old boot.img so boot into fastboot then erase boot and flash the new one

Sometimes it only says 'LG Android USB Modem correctly installed'.

Are you running Win7? Try disabling the usb modem in device manager and try again.

i didnt even know it was on here

anyways i had trouble updating it and because of that i could master the ways of fastboot lolllll thanks for your tutorial dudeman im still hoping for the bluetooth device to work and i hope im not the only one wanting that

by the way i cant find nor download google maps or navigation apps they were imp too and that market of the phone is more like an Russian one..... i cant use anymore the appplanet app neither

is there something wrong??? im still looking for some apps to see if theres any trouble

Nope, XP. And weirdly enough, the USB driver doesn't even appear now. I will try reinstalling the drivers one more time.

Guys i am having a problem. Sometimes (more often than not...) when i am in an app and hit the home key the launcher app crashes or at least rerdraws the widgets and the phone is unresponsive for a few seconds. This is extremely annoying and i didnt have this problem with 1.4b. I ve tried the Go launcher that comes with the mod and also zeam launcher. It doesnt seem to make any difference. Also it seems like the home selector doesnt work. It changes the homescreen app but after i hit the home key it reverts to the one i have set to default. Any ideas ? (yes i checked the system persistent checkbox in the Go settings)

Hey kosta,
Which version of swiftdroid are you using?i used to have the exact same problem when i was using v2M3. Currently i'm using m4and everything is fine. Try going into settings,cyanogenmod settings,perfomance and check the "keep home in memory" box and see if that helps. I haven't tried m5 yet
You can also use swapper for root(download from market).It can be really helpfull with low ram issues

I am using M5. Thanks i tried it but after a reboot i did recently it seemed to be doing fine. Only time can tell!

Those were the first I tried. Although the screen refreshed after executing the .INF file, I never got a DLLRegisterServer or "blabla.dll was registered correctly" dialog box, so I assume it never worked. The Win7 ones, curiously, did, at least when updating to official
