Help Droid users who use QUICKEN on their pc?

I'll throw in my "me too". I use Quicken on my PC, but would love a way to enter receipts on my Droid and then sync it with my PC later. I looked at mint.com but it seems like it's just an online thing, I don't see a way to get transactions from Mint to Quicken, but I may just be misunderstanding it.

Anyone have any luck with something to plug transactions and sync to PC with Mint or one of the other apps mentioned?

Yeah I am on the same boat looking for a way to sync my inc with quicken, I don't like min very much, it is just unacceptable that a giant like quicken hasn't an app for android (selling 200,000 units daily) yet, we can go on this website bellow and send them msgs requesting the bigger is the chance we all have to get a quicken app.

website is Quicken

@ dbvirago,

This post is pretty old. There is a mint.com app for Android now (by Intuit). It's free. Just search "Mint" once you get your phone...

mint.com does not solved the problem of syncing quicken / ms money desktop to PDA. I got more than 10 years of data on ms money. I need something like Pocket Quicken on Android. Now I moved the data to Quicken 2010 and used with Pocket Quicken on Winmo. I'm going to stick to this solution until there are alternatives to this on android. I'will delayed my move to android

Also a longtime Quicken user here and Pocket Quicken on the early specific device then on a Treo since that was available.

I found an app called mooLa! that seems to be working pretty well on the phone. It allows tracking of several bank / credit card accounts and the use of categories. It does not sync with Quicken but will export a CSV file which can be converted to QIF for import into Quicken. I also found a free add-on for Excel to make the conversion. I'm using a free version of mooLa! but think I will spend the 6 or 7 bucks for the upgrade which then handles transfers between accounts. The only really annoying feature so far is the logo (icon) which is an overly cute cow face.

In case any developers are reading this, PLEASE develop Quicken for android SOON.

I'm also a longtime Quicken user who used Pocket Quicken. I am using the anmoney progam on my droid and you CAN export your accounts to a .qif file to import into Quicken. Before a trip, I set the balances manually in anmoney then export my transactions to a .qif when I get home. Then import to quicken. Works like charm. My opinion on mint.com - worthless.

hookeywoods; thanks. also using quicken since 1988, have every bank transaction in that file;-) used a treo. frustrated nothing for droid, will give your suggestion a try.

my understanding is that with all the online money programs, quicken for desktop is declining. MS money threw in the towel. i am not hopeful for android quicken but would still love it.

Let me preface that I'm a CPA, so I keep a good hold of my personal finances.

I've been using quicken for 2.5 years (switched after MS Money discontinued. It was a decent program despite my complete disrespect of Microsoft).

I use Cash2QIF (by Steve Norris) on my Droid to enter cash expenses only. My bank and credit card accounts get automatically downloaded online. The App will export transactions in a .qif file to my desktop quicken, and after importing, I delete all transactions on the phone. The app is very simple, and very good! It's not very important to me to see all my accounts on the go - I need it only to be able to track and categorize expenses that I pay for in cash.

Quicken bought Mint.com a while ago, but I don't feel that Mint is as flexible as quicken yet, so I'm not ready to make the switch.

I am currently using MS Money - and am looking for a new software to use - I have looked at mint.com and it's greatest downfall is that you cannot input transactions as you make them and have them react correctly to downloaded content once that item has cleared - all Mint.com is useful for is being able to track all of your accounts in one place. I am seaking a software such that I can sync w/ either a PC or online also to allow that infor to sync with my wife's phone as well - so that as either of us make a purchase it can be entered in the android - it would connect and sync with the online account, in turn syncing with the other phone - keeping both account users up to date on what is actually available to use in the account - not what is showing as the current amount in the account from the bank!

Thanks,

Matt

I use pocket money on my tungsten e2 every day. It's really a great progrma which I think you would probably compare to pocket quicken. It's available in android but only the next version will allow synchronization with quicken. The current version allows exporting, and for $5 you could get it just for trysies. I'm going to get it next paycheck.

I think you guys may have just solved my dilema as well. I'm so excited about it that I actually registered just to say thanks.

I hope this works. The trial version has an add on that gives a graph for a predicted balance - which is the main thing I want - something that tells me how much cash I am going to have after bills in the future. I'm ok with that being on my laptop, but in this day and age, it seemed rediculous to not have an app to go along with it. This sounds about perfect. I'm buying this tonight I am pretty sure.

I was using a combination of Yodlee and Mint. However, this past weekend my bank made an update and "quick connect" functionality no longer works. They told me it never should have. So, I have to download .qif files from my bank now.

Anyway, thanks! I'd love any tips anybody has if they are using this now. Now that I am registered I'll probably poke around the forums some too.

How did you convert CSV to QIF files?
