Apps Android Publishers - lets help each other earn the most from our apps

Hello, I've been developing android apps for the past 6 months or so. I've had a lot of success with a video game app I created, and still getting around 500 installs a day. I have a new app coming up where users can do a first person raid on Bin Laden's Pakistan compound. Developing it further as more news comes out about the raid.

How are people monetizing their apps? I've used admob on my previously developed app, but the CPM is incredibly low and not a viable way to earn money from my apps.

I did a test with LeadBolt App Program and the CPM's were higher than AdMob, the ad unit is pretty cool, it puts a lock on my game and users have to view and complete their quiz before they are given access to the game.

I'm addicted to CoD and I'd drop it in a heartbeat if I had to do some sort of quiz on it. Just using that as an example. What kind of money are you looking for? You're not going to become a millionaire doing this. Probably won't even see enough revenue to quit your day job.

Consider making a lite ad supported version and a paid no-ad version. That's probably the easiest way to make some money off it.

That sounds amazing. I am build more a journey planner app with two levels of ad based and paid. Obviously paid has a tonnes more features whilst the free version still being usable.

Do you guys think it can work?

If it can what ad network is probably the best to join?
(I assumed admob as they are owned by google so intergration would be seemless.)
