Ummm, I doubt Drel used uberquad to bench,
Correct as I stated in an earlier post no cheating eg uberquad hack was used. Come one guys have you ever known me to just make fake stuff up? Just now tried this with uberquad and its 2500ish with uberquad and 1800ish without.

I'm getting those scores without using uber quad.
No you are not, not without uberquad cheat. Well unless someone leaked whats in the works ...

Brb with a screenshot. Have one in less than an hour. (Kinda busy at my house.)

Without Uber Quadrant from Velocity Toolkit.

A difference of only about one hundred points. That's just doing it one time. Sometimes the difference is greater, sometimes not, but I average 2000 with or without Uber Quad. I once got a 2300ish with uber quad, but that was before I added all my other apps and overclocked to 806.

Is it normal to see "0.00B" under "Available Space" in the storage settings?

Loved the first look at velocity 1.2, any idea as to when it will be released? I love the looks of this bad boy!

SHHHHHHHHHHH. . . . That's really the one big thing you are NOT allowed to ask. If you do a little demon straight from the iPhone will come posses your phone and BAM no more Velocity.

But seriously, rule 1. no asking for ETA's

I don't know if this is related or not to what you are saying, but I have been seeing a lot of error messages popping up telling me Google Maps wants to FC when I am not even using Google Maps, but am instead reading articles on the MaximumPC or MaximumTech website using either Opera Mini or Opera Mobile on the Ally. I just dismiss them and continue on reading.

When I do use Google Maps or Latitude, it seems to work well and does not FC at all. So I'm not sure what to make of all this. On a somewhat related note, I have been noticing over the past couple months that opening GMail on any of my PCs seems to take many times longer to display than it had been originally when I got the Ally. Sometimes half a minute before it will display anything. That is using either Firefox 4 or Firefox 3.

And, when opening up Jorte, the calendar app I generally use on the Ally, I am now finding it takes over 30 seconds of blank screen before it displays. I know the first thing it does is sync with the Google Calendar before it will display anything.

So maybe Google is having some kind of server issues "down on the farm"? If so I hope they get things back in order soon. All this lag is a PITA.

Several people are reporting an issue with the latest update to Google Maps causing FCs. It has been suggested that a possible common thread could be phones running Velocity v 1.1 with the patch to make it report itself as Android 2.2. I'm wondering if someone from Team Velocity might look into this further. Thanks!

Im running 1.1 and had the patch to report the os as 2.2.2 and i have been unable to get maps to FC on me. Maybe im lucky, or maybe google maps doesnt love you anymore. In any case, if you can reproduce it. Get a logcat and hope one of these nice folks would take the time to take a look at it. Velocity issue or not, they can do alot more with a logcat than just people saying if FC's. May also try emailing it to google, though i dont know how that goes vs devs for other apps. Wish i could be of more help but most of that still looks like a foreign language to me.

Has "anyone" ever gotten anywhere trying to get help from Google? This is one of the darker sides of "cloud computing" I am afraid. When you no longer "own" (as in you installed it) a program, I'll bet it will be a lot harder (if even possible) to get any kind of local support when it is needed.

I have the same issue, Google maps works fine when started, but for some reason while using my browser and on other websites I keep getting that Google maps is Force Closing. It sometimes happens in other apps, but most of the time only in the browser. Not too much of a problem, I just force close it and go on. I have cleared data for the app, uninstalled it, and re-installed it but same issue....

I am curious which browser app you are using when you see this happening too. I use either Opera Mobile or Opera Mini, depending upon whether I am on a forum or just web browsing, respectively.

Is anyone else having issues with pandora? im realizing as i type this that my issue could probably be solved by wiping and not restoring data, which is something i dont want to do. pandora will not open, it will immediately force close. if anyone knows how to fix this without losing all my contacts i will appreciate it a lot.

other than the pandora and picture sending issue i absolutely love velocity and my phone has never run better. i have been a big fan of velocity since .3 and i'd hate to have to find a new rom because of the pandora issue.
