Root bricked optimus m,help

my optimus m was rooted .in rom manger i think i loaded a bad rom or something.
now its stuck on the lg screen.can any one help.

its ****ed!!!i did the same shit to my first optimus..your phone CANNOT be fixed.mine is sitting right in front of me..i did the EXACT same thing.downloaded rom manager when i was an android noob.hit backup current rom and thats all she wrote..sorry to break the bad news.but on another note,you can do what i did and get a used EVO off ebay for like 250 or 300 and have it flashed to metro.i love mine to death and could never go back.

i allready bought a new optimus m. but now i cant get z4root to work on this one. any ideas?

I couldn't get Z4root to work eather but eventually i found an app called gingerbreak and it worked perfect for my optimus m just fallow the instructions

Unfortunatly about a day into having my rooted optimus m i decided to mess with it and used rom manager to back up the existing rom and install an new one (didn't really know what i was doing) i'm kinda a noob to android devices. anyways when i turn on the phone the lg logo apeers then it goes to the fast boot screan and sais

fastboot mode started
udc_start()

i don't know what to do and i haven't been able to get it to start in any other mode exept if i hold vol_up + back + power and hold them until the four main buttons light up it gets stuck on the lg power up screen. i tried downloading the kdz updater but for some reason it wont let me run the .exe file

please help with this

joneidy has helped people that have used rom manager give him a pm.
I am uncertian but I believe mikekelso has since been able to fix his optimus.

i now i messed up im a newb to all this as well but i installed rom manager on my optimus m and i need it back asap all i get is the black screen that says fastboot

No, don't take it to them. Wait for help from the almighty joneidy or send a PM to get noticed sooner. Be sure to mention you used ROM Manager.

Actually this is one of many but it just happens to be popular at the moment. The problem has been happening for several months since the Optimus M has picked up in popularity. Easily happens 1-2 times a week that we know of. Those who don't google will take it back claiming something went wrong or just live with their mistake.

I'm just too damn paranoid to try something unless I'm reasonably sure of the method I'm using and the expected results, and hopefully as well as solid means of recourse should I not get a good outcome. It took me awhile before I was comfortable with the idea of even just rooting because I didn't know like I do now how easy it is to un-root.
