How CLEAN is your Android phone?

The root mods and Roms? That's a different story, I'm anal about keeping them up to date and stuff

I think the majority of us are the same way. Why bother rooting if you won't maintain it, ya know?

I think Roze thinks I'm sceeevy now. :p

Not that she didn't feel that way about you already :p

As a society, we have become obsessed with germs and killing them all. The more effort we devote to it, the more resistant and hardcore germs become. We are doing ourselves massive disservice by being germophobes. Superbugs stem from us trying to kill all germs, not just the bad ones. The more you sanitize, the worse off you will be.

I use my phone while I'm on the crapper, and I never do more than wipe the smudges off the screen with my shirt... or face if I get a phone call. I kind of follow the advice of Reese from Malcolm in the Middle: "Don't be afraid of germs, you need them to keep your immune system strong. Do what I do: go to the park, reach under a bench, grab a piece of gum off the bottom, and chew it."

Interesting....I wonder how effective it is. You mean, it'll be another addition to my 'current germ warfare arsenal'.

I'm not 100%, but supposedly uv light kills 100% of bacteria (or some other vert high %age) so in theory, if you can get light into the tiny nooks and crannies that your other arsenal can't get into, then the uv light could be a good option a far as bacteria goes, but getting general dirt n crap out could be another story.

Doesn't germs build up a immunity to cleaning products over time so your really just making them more immune?

And our bodies build immunities to bacteria and germs if you now take away relatively low levels of germs from every day life and then you get a serious bacterial infection how is your body going to know how to fight it?

I can understand being clean with open wounds or around sick people but when your perfectly healthy your body can easily take most of the bacteria you will pick up and you will be better for it.

but please do carry on wiping your hands I don't want those germs your about to give yourself ;)

yes.. too much cleaning.. can be bad.

got my phone in Dec 2010.
I have never cleaned my phone with sanitizer. I do wipe it on my shirt or pants or whatever is close by that looks clean.
I take it everywhere with me... bathroom.. etc..
let others use it....
i take it to the gym .. workout... and use ear sets and never clean them too.

no problems.. and i get sick maybe once a year.

(hope I did not jinx myself.!)
