Help System Storage Filling Up Fast

Hi All,

I have noticed that my system storage on the device has steadily been increasing day by day.

When I first got the phone only about 80 MB was filled up, now after 4 days its up to 120 MB.
I move all the apps I download to the SD card immediately. On system storage only 1 app has been installed "noLED", which cannot be transferred to SD card, rest all are installed on SD card.

I have notice that whenever I download an app from the market, and even if the app is installed/moved to SD card immediately( even before launching it for the first time), the system storage data increase by 1-2 MB, which ideally should not happen.

I know that the system storage has 1.9 GB of data storage space, but at the rate with which it is filling up it wont take long to run out of space.

Can anyone suggest what I should do to free up space in my system storage ?

Lool. Trust me! Its just a little app thrill. Soon you will come to a stand still on downloading apps :D.

Moving an app to the SD card doesn't necessarily move everything. Certain files have to remain on internal memory for things like background updates, widgets etc to function even if the SD card is accessed as a removeable drive.

Wow, 150 apps, I have just about 7-8, I guess I am a little paranoid about all the tiny details about the phone, also new to android OS, so trying to learn everything there is to it.
Also I realized that I had installed Flash update 10.3, and that alone took up 5-6 MB additional space on the internal storage, same with google maps and a couple of other stock Samsung apps.

There is plenty of storage left, so no immediate concerns, and probably going along I would root the phone (once it fills up) .I believe there would be many options to free up space, once I have root access. For now I can live with it.

I guess that's it, thanx for the info.

Does this mean that when I do remove/uninstall the apps, the data the app stored on the internal storage would also be removed automatically ?
Or will that have to be done manually using some cache cleaner app or something like that.

That's what should happen, while stuff like settings, widget skins etc will probably be saved to a seperate folder on /sdcard. Uninstalling an app should therefore recover all the space in the internal memory.
