I thought I lost my sgs2 at football last night. I drove home about a million miles an hour screaming expletives, trying to get to my PC to remote lock it and check location. Anyway when I pulled up at home. It was hiding in the car the whole time.

Anyway.. it made me think I should get insurance as I don't wanna fork out if it gets nicked.

Anyone got insurance and how much u pay?

My NatWest current account includes insurance for one phone and I had to register the phone but once that's done it's covered. Maybe worth checking if you have any existing insurance that might cover it before buying new cover.

Hi jspx1 just a word of warning. I have mobile insurance with my bank account. But if you actually read the fine print it only covers you to the purchase value of your phone. So if you got your phone with a contract you took out and paid nothing for it that's how much your insurance will pay out.

To daz_2000 if your only worried about your phone being stolen you can insurance with protect my bubble for less than 6.99. It can be as low as 1.99 a month. Pretty reasonable I reckon if your more worried about theft or damage.

:D

I have insurance that came with my contract which is provided with aviva received no information from the company wiht my policy number and no direct debits have been started. So I'm guessing when I exchanged my phone the insurance was cancelled.

Will be getting insurance from protect you bubble though and getting lost cover.

I have both mine and my wifes Galaxys insured through our Lloyds TSB Joint Account. Both phones are registered with them. We have a platinum joint account with them thats costs £12 which gives us phone insurance, AA Breakdown cover, Credit Card cover and Travel Insurance. We have a chunk of money in the account so our monthly intrerest covers the £12 a month charge. So are effectively getting all that for nothing

Read my earlier post about phone insurance with bank accounts and check your details of your actual policy. You don't want to get stung.

That is not necessarily true for all the banks mobile insurance. I had mine and my wife's contract phones insured with Lloyds TSB last, and both screens cracked. They simply accepted they were contract phones, my screen was fixed, but my wife's phone was irreparable, and she was promptly sent an exact replacement.

And a few years ago after dropping my O2 XDA and cracking the screen, once they established they didn't have a replacement XDA to offer I was sent a
