Is anyone actually plan on keeping City ID after the trial is up? If so, am I overlooking any hidden benefits to paying $3/mo that would change my original thought of this being way over-priced? Just curious as I have yet to see or read anyone stating how it's worth the money. I'm not overly concerned about the charge itself but I'd hate to support something that does not have the best interest of the consumers in mind. Especially since it doesnt' seems overly necessary because most of my incoming calls will be from someone in my contact list. Just curious to hear what you all think.
Agree totally. Same can be said for Verizon's VZ Navigator. Who in their right mind would pay $10/month for something you can get FFFFRRRREEEEEEE with a dozen other apps. What are they thinking? Besides that we are stupid. Drives me crazy. I want to know who is actually paying for that?
One approach to help get rid of CityId is outlined in this article, written by a reviewer. Not sure if a complaint to the FCC is valid, but...she makes a good point. ( you may have to click past an "intro screen" to get to the article
Whoops - after trying Easyroot on my incredible I found out that it does not work and the other program unrevoked has to be used.
I thought the one click approach would be great. The program installs OK, says it has rooted, but Root Explorer sez it ain't. The option to mount R/W doesn't appear.
Okay what is this City ID app? Its always turned on in my task killer and I dont even know what it is or use it. Can anyone help, I tried unistalling it but it wont let me.
I have tried all day to delete the app City ID from my phone. I have finally realized how to 'delete it from my phone'. Go into app, end subscription, I think that is what it is called. Then turn off the phone after ending subscription. The app is no longer on my phone after I had done these steps. I hope no one has any problems with this app.

I know this app and I was able to remove it with the help of this software, that is able to uninstall any program from your computer, go to: registrywisecleaner[DOT][COM] /uninstall-any-software.php from your computer with just a few mouse clicks.

Is anyone having trouble with their phone saying restricted with this app on there when the free trial is over? I'm thru Page Plus with my Motorola Devour but it's a Verizon phone. I've talked to both and have gotten no where, but no one wants to answer my calls cause of it saying restricted. I pushed the no but it keeps popping up every time someone calls. This is pissing me off!! If anyone has gotten this same problem please let me know and what have you done to correct it and is it correctable for this thing making my calls restricted?
u can open the cityid ap, it'll ask u if u want to pay 1.99 a month for services, select no, then a screen will appear asking if you want to keep the ap, select no and it will uninstal it for you
