Early Incredible Adopters

Pre-orderer here too, and at this point I have zero incentive to upgrade before my contract is up. Everyone's said it above... the phones that are out now have so little upside over the Inc that there's no reason to. It would be an incremental upgrade at best. I'd rather save the upgrade for a phone that is leaps and bounds better than the Inc... and something like that doesn't exist right now.

I'm not really worried about 4G and the potential for plan changes/tiered billing, because

(a) according to the roadmap 4G is at least a year out in my area, so I wouldn't be using it anyway till then, and

(b) I'm not a heavy data user anyway. Other than very occasional tethering (maybe a couple times a year for a day or so) I can't imagine even coming close to any caps they might put on the data service. In fact, I'd probably be one of the people that would actually benefit from a tiered data billing system.

Pre-ordered mine and got it about 3 days before release day. :D I loved it, and rooted running CM7 it was butter smooth and perfect. Alas, the 3.7" screen was just a bit too small for me, but I loved the AMOLED. The phone was basically flawless, from operation to battery life (rooted). It's up for sale in the classified section. There's nothing worth burning my upgrade, but I happened on a deal for a Droid Charge contract-free so that's what I'm using now. Love it. Love the screen, the size, the brilliance, and the sharpness of the SA+. Battery life is decent for me but I suppose the 4G coverage is good in my area so it's not struggling for a signal.

I'm waiting for LTE and dual-core phones with acceptable battery life. Probably 4-4.3" screen, NFC would be a plus.

For the time being I think I'll keep the DInc and use custom ROMs to keep me happy and system updates faster than HTC and Verizon can do.

Tablets seem more interesting this year. 2010: android phone invasion. 2011: android tablet invasion.

to me 4g isn't anything important, I actually hope they higher the 4g price and lower the 3g price and give you the option but I highly doubt that, soon all phones will be 4g and you will HAVE to pay for 4g just like we HAVE to pay for 3g right now... I'd be very happy with a dual core phone running 3g, paying cheaper..

We are waiting for the Samsung Galaxy S II.. That thing is a beast.

Super Amoled Plus screen, Dual Core, wow!

Only problem is that it will probably be $299.. yikes - rumors are that this will be here in July. In fact, the phone is so awesome that it also going to ATT and Sprint!

I love the Incredible, but it is starting to get really annoying not being able to see your phone in the sun. I wish I received an SLCD replacement :(

I'm looking forward to the Galaxy S2. Hopefully a version of it will come to Verizon soon. I will get an upgrade discount in December.

I am concerned that the Galaxy S2's 4.3" screen will be too big in my hand (I have small hands). My Inc is a perfect size.

If not the Galaxy S2, then hopefully the next Nexus phone on Verizon, but that doesn't seem likely.

I must be getting used to this because with screen on high I don't have issue with this anymore (i am amoled) it does help to be able to swipe brightness without depending on the auto brightness

I got mine on day one as well, and my "upgrade" window came and went with nothing really calling my name to switch. I gave my upgrade to my daughter and then gave hers to my wife...and then to my other daughter...so my turn is coming up next month...maybe the G2...if it is available...but the Inc still works for me.

My upgrade isn't until the end of December. Like many already said, I'm holding out for a dual core HTC phone. I would love to see the Sensation or a phone like it on Verizon.

My spouse has the Inc2 and loves it. I could go for that 4" size but I think I really want the 4.3".

There's plenty of time yet for lots of phones to come out before my upgrade. Ideally, I want the phone to be out for a couple months - and all the bugs worked out - before I buy one. I got my Inc the day before it was in the stores and my BB Tour the day it came out. I think I want my next phone to have some mileage on it before I get it. I'm tired of being the guinea pig.
