Root Running Out Of Space

I think only the apk files are sitting in ext partition. Dalvik cache is still in internal memory.
Moving this should free up some 60-70MB space.

I'm not sure how this is done with that Sense ROM, so check that specifically there.
Yes, this absolutely should be checked, because if the dalvik cache is in internal that's a big drain.

But if the dalvik is not on ext, what is using 260MB with 57 apps? If it's just apks that would be an average of 4.5MB/app, which is why I suspect that the dalvik might have been moved.

57?? I have 125, including 4 Angry Birds apps (I still have the original beta on there) and am using significantly less space.

Using Quick System Info, select Applications -> All, then in preferences (near the bottom) get it to sort them by size (data size might be more useful than total size for this). That way you can see whether there are any that are using huge amounts of space.

Just done that & there is nothing that is using a massive amount of space - Seesmic is the most at 8.40MB & I tend to clear that every few weeks or so anyway.

How do I check that?

Try the following commands in a terminal emulator:

su
cd /data/dalvik-cache
pwd

On mine the third command returns the result "/sd-ext/dalvik-cache"

Edit: or if you have Root Explorer, just look at /sd-ext and see whether there's a dalvik directory in there.

Checked in Root Explorer & the delvik cache directory is in /system/sd

You sure that's the only place it's referred to? And is it a folder icon you see?

Sometimes you may have "links", i.e. things which appear to be a file or directory but are actually only a pointer to it. For example, I have a file called dalvik-cache in /cache and a folder of that name in /data, but it's really in /sd-ext (with what root explorer thinks is a folder in /data being a link). I find it hard to believe that it's really in /system, since the dalvik cache grows as apps are installed, and even if there were space in /system I don't think an S-On device could do that.

But I've no idea what /system/sd is for anyway - on my device the only thing there is a placeholder file (purpose unknown).

I'm wondering whether /system/sd is related to how LeeDroid does a2sd+. Is there other stuff in there, like an app directory?

I've been trying to do a little reading about LeeDroid, and so far it's all pointing towards my original suspicion that with the a2sd+ version of LeeDroid 3.07 the Dalvik is in ext by default (unlike the "Data++" versions, which put Dalvik in internal storage). In which case we won't be able to recover more internal by moving it because it's already moved.
