Help [How to] turn off haptic feedback?

on the evo 4g you could never turn off the vibration for the 4 keys on the bottom. don't know why you'd want to, either. it confirms you actually hit the touch sensitive button.....

We are all different thats why we have all these different options. Personally I turned them off on my OG EVO and I also did it with my 3VO. I get confirmation that I hit the button when I see the corresponding action on the screen, I don't need the phone to vibrate to tell me that.

Two types of vibration

---if you want overall vibration off (this doesnt disable vibration on keyboard)

menu> settings> sound> vibrate feedback - off

---if you want vibrate off for keyboard

-for tap keyboard
menu > settings> language & keyboard > touch input > text input > vibrate when typing - off

-for swype keyboard
menu > settings> language & keyboard > swype settings > vibrate on keypress -off

I think I may have just imagined that the screen vibrate when I touched I because the 4 'physical' keys at the bottom all vibrate and the keyboard vibrates when I was use it. So both of those work. Unless you someone else wants to confirm that their screen vibrates when touching things likes icons and links.
