Nexus Collection

I doubt any of the Nexus phones will be worth much in the future. Technology doesn't typically carry much of a collector's value. Take the Apple Newton for example. It retailed for $700 when it first came out, and now you can buy them on eBay for $40.

Considering that things like smartphone are now mass produced, there's very little chance of any sort of collectibility. The same thing has happened with video games. Even the "Collector's Editions" are produced on such massive scales that there really is nothing "collectible" about it.

I was thinking it would be good to have and have debated re-purchasing the N1 but its circa £180 brand new on ebay.

Historically I have sold phones to raise cash to buy another one or to pay a contract off to get a new phone. Now im regretting getting rid of the N1 but its probably false economy buying it for the sake of being part of a collection which probably won't return back its respective value.

I understand what you mean about GI Joe or Barbie...I doubt anyone will buy these phones and not use them for the sake of being part of a collection in the future.

Anyway...im curious...how's your Barbie collection going?!
