Please can you help before my return time runs out

Hi, I left the iPhone 4 to go with a Bigger Screen and I picked the Samsung Infuse after 3 weeks of having it I had second thoughts to get the Samsung Galaxy S2 so I did.. I have had it for 2 days now and have till next week to send it back if I dont want it. IT is ROOTED and came ROOTED.. I love the phone but I am worried I did the wrong thing to do.. Did I make a mistake or is this a rockn phone.. Also I have 2 issues that are really bugging me..

I cant add my Yahoo account to it.. It says it is the wrong username or password and it isnt they work fine on the yahoo page on my computer. Also I cant view the Video in the APP HBO GO... I get audio but no video.. Can someone help with these options..

Are you sure it's rooted? If it came new straight from a retailer there is no way it will be.

I don't use Yahoo so I cannot share any experience there but I can say that K-9 (free in the marketplace) is a much better email client than the standard one so try that and see if that fixes the problem.

Can't help with the HBO problem I'm afraid. I'm not even sure what HBO is.

PS Yes, the phone is great.

HBO is an american TV channel, if he's In America it should work, as long as he is signed up to a data plan.

What applications are found on page 4 of the app drawer?, by default the phone only comes with 3 and the 3rd has a few empty spaces, everything on the 4th would be added by the 'previous owner'.

I too have a yahoo account and couldn't get the email widget to work, it's not just you.

I know it should work and I am signed into it and I can look through the movies and stuff but when I click on one to watch I get the HBO Splash screen and then the video starts and all I get is the audio of the movie no video.. Yes I am in America. Also I just found out that the Social Hub and if you click on ADD and try to add Windows Live Messenger it doesnt work (Error) and also if you click on the Yahoo! Messenger it doesnt work either same (Error) also Google Talk (in that area) doesnt work.. What is going on.. Am I going to find a new thing everyday that doesnt work on this phone.. I paid 800.00 for this phone (Rooted) and this is starting to get old ya know.. Everything worked on the Infuse (but I got it non rooted) from ATT and this I got from a store in Chicago. Anyone - Anything help if you can..

sounds like flash is not performing on demand. no phone comes rooted, but i guess you could have purchased from 2nd hand. As if its rooted then it will be 2nd hand.

Yes try another email client like K9. also i would advise anyone use a google phone to consider moving over to a gmail account - it makes sense

I use Comcast.net as my main account and have for years and years.. I only get gmail from my youtube account emails and I only get yahoo every once in a while.. I just wanted it to be on the phone built in like it is to work... That is all.. And the phone came from Unlocked HTC Phones| Rooted Phone | Unlocked Android Phone | HTC Desire unlocked | Factory unlocked Iphone | Unlocked Samsung Galaxy Tab .... I dont mean to be a pain but for 800 you would think EVERYTHING would work that comes on the phone or is that not right.. Just trying to understand

Your expectations are perfectly reasonable but I'm rather baffled as to why anyone would buy an already rooted phone. To root it they have to open the box so firstly you don't even know if it's really new. Secondly, you don't know whether they know what they are doing either and judging by your experience, they may not.

I would say that you should either reflash to a stock ROM and see if that helps or return it.

I know it's a bit late now, but I would advise you in future not to buy an already rooted phone. You have no idea what has been done to it or whether it was returned as faulty by a previous owner. Instead, buy it new and root it yourself. It's easy and that way you know what has been done to it and also what changes have happened as a result of the rooting process which would make problems like this easier to diagnose.

HBO go dose not work on this phone, no video. It has been reported and hopefully a fix will appear. I also would guess that it would not work on the Infuse.

Yes it works fine on the Infuse I had one for 2 weeks before going with this Galaxy 2S phone.... So now that HBO GO doesnt work and we know it now.. What about the other parts of my issues...

1) In social hub or accounts you cant add yahoo as your mail
2) Windows live messenger (IM Account) doenst work in Social Hub
3) Google Talk (IM Account) doesnt work in Social Hub
4) Yahoo Messenger (IM Account) doesnt work in Social Hub...

I even tried adding the mail as other account for yahoo and it doesnt work..

Is this a rooted problem or does it not work on a new phone that isnt rooted in the USA..

Same thing what i'm experiencing with my s2..invalid username/password always comes out.also when you go to social hub..i already installed my ym thru market also, i can send message to them but i cannot receive messages from the other party.
