It shouldn't have texts in the CALL log to begin with. You should be able to view ALL OF YOUR CALLS at one time, without friggin TEXTS being there.

Now you have to view ONLY missed calls, ONLY dialed calls, or ONLY received calls just to NOT see texts. You cannot view a combination of all calls without texts.

Whoever thought it would be a good idea to put texts in the call log needs a swift kick in the nuts.

Now that your running SRF the texts shouldnt be there at all :p

I prefer having a physical keyboard but there are 2 things that would make me switch to one without..

1. I am having issues syncing my phonebook with Bluetooth on my BMW iDrive.. (Very ANNOYING)

2. This phone keeps a log of all text messages send and received in the call log.. So I have to scroll though in order to get to the calls.. Even for deleted text messages (HUGE ANNOYANCE)

If there is another Android Phone on the market that can alleviate these annoyances I want that phone..

#2 is a Froyo thing, not an Epic thing. It didn't do that til the Froyo update. I can't stand it, either.

Correct. Rooting and using a ROM like Syndicate Frozen or midNIGHT eliminates that. :)

I would ditch the slide out in a heartbeat. I don't use it. I thought I would need it until I saw the size of the keyboard in landscape...no problems! I also don't use swype. It's worthless, imo. I bought Smart Keyboard Pro and love it!

So yeah, if I could get an EPIC without the slide out I'd be all over it.

nah. many wanted a galaxy slate over the evo and opted for the epic. They wanted the samoled screen and hummingbird processor, possibly a microsd slot that was hot swappable. though, those people will get their wish most likely with the Within. I'll be bummed if a GS2 slider doesn't come to Sprint, hell, just a 4+" dual core slider in general.
if you didnt want a keyboard get the evo. done.

its not the only difference. but if its that much of a pain whoever is complaining shoulda have gotten an evo.

honestly the screen on the evo isnt that bad. ofcorse the epics screen is better but w.e

When did the USA & this forum decide to prohibit discussion?

They didn't.

And unfortunately, they didn't prohibit you posting your opinions either.

Btw, I spent about 1/2 checking out the Nexus S yesterday and I love it! Oh, and even unrooted it has NO Spring bloatware!

I would probably get the epic without a keyboard if it were available, I do like the keyboard but I dont use it much except for really long messages and I use it to control the games I play on my emulators but i also dont like how sometimes it skips buttons and doesnt respond all the time but i do like how it has the xtra row of keys so everytime i want to hit a number button i dont have to hit shift

While I do love the keyboard for long texts, entering in passwords, and when doing my bank info, I could probably go without a keyboard as long as the virtual one had a damn good autocorrect. Even swype annoys me sometimes when it gives me words that completely do not resemble what I tried putting in.

Nonetheless, the next phone I pick up will probably not have a keyboard as I am either getting the Sprint version of the Galaxy S II or the Nexus Prime if it comes to Sprint.
